Our elite global Alternative Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit a hands-on SVP Product Development, with broad knowledge of the wealth management and alternative investment product development lifecycle, to build end-to-end product capabilities and strategies into investment-grade and highly structured product offerings across public and private markets for the firm’s advisory platform UHNW and family office clients.

  • Oversee and lead product strategy and development for the firm’s advisory platform UHNW and family office clients
  • Build end-to-end product capabilities and strategies into investment-grade and highly structured product offerings across public and private markets
  • Lead and define the alternative product roadmap based on client needs across a variety of alternative asset classes including private credit, private equity, hybrid capital and insurance
  • Gather client product requirements and translate them into product concepts, solutions and vehicles
  • Analyze and evaluate new product opportunities across various structures – drawdown, feeder, co-investment, evergreen, etc.
  • Lead and oversee the structuring and construction of new products, coordinating product build-out with internal stakeholders and external vendors/service providers
  • Oversee fee structures, fund terms, vehicle design and offering documentation with legal advise provided by internal and external attorneys
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end product launch process
  • Manage new product launch lifecycle from concept through onboarding and distribution
  • Ensure new product offerings meet governance and regulatory standards
  • Manage and own the alternative product shelf
  • Own product performance monitoring, client communications and reporting
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on product structures, features and positioning
  • Maintain product controls, governance and documentation
  • Work closely with investment teams and senior management to align products with client requirements and platform strategy
  • Assist in designing and establishing the advisory platform’s product frameworks, standards and architecture
  • Initially serve as a hands-on individual contributor while building out and leading the product team as the platform grows and scales
  • Contribute to building the advisory platform’s operating model, standards and team culture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA, JD and/or CFA preferred
  • 10+ years of wealth management or alternative investment product design, development and oversight
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and managing full-lifecycle alternative and private market products from conception through product launch
  • Demonstrated full life-cycle product development experience at an alternative investment manager or wealth management platform serving sophisticated UHNW and family office investors
  • Fundamental knowledge of various fund structures, fee models, tax, regulatory and legal requirements and vehicle types associated with alternative products and private market offerings
  • Ability and willingness to serve as a hands-on individual contributor while playing a lead role in building and scaling a robust product team
  • Deep understanding of alternative investment strategies
  • High degree of accountability and ownership
  • Alternative product subject matter expertise with the ability to communicate complex product concepts and structures to internal stakeholders and sophisticated investors
  • Ability to thrive and operate autonomously in a newly launched advisory platform

Responsibilities:
