Our elite global Private Equity client is seeking to recruit a lateral Principal, Product Specialist with majority control buyout strategy expertise to own the product strategy narrative, oversee workflow, manage and mentor a team of junior business development resources and serve as the chief liaison and product subject matter expert between investors and the investment team for private equity and equity-focused fund products.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief liaison and product subject matter expert between investors and the investment team for private equity and equity-focused fund products
- Own the product strategy narrative and oversee workflow
- Manage, mentor and train junior business development junior resources
- Lead the design of marketing and fundraising materials, DDQs, RFPs and pitch materials
- Lead private equity product development and product management
- Perform market research, content development and product positioning across equity strategies, continuation vehicles and co-investments
- Serve as the senior product resource for the business development team
- Provide commercial expertise to support business development, fundraising and strategic planning initiatives
- Work closely with finance, operations, legal and compliance teams on new product execution
- Develop market commentary and thought leadership pieces and support external communications and brand building strategies
- Maintain content libraries and consistently improve data management systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA or CFA preferred
- 8+ years of private equity or alternatives product strategy experience
- Control buyout private equity strategy experience required
- Demonstrated experience managing, training and mentoring junior resources
- Demonstrated ability to support investor relations, business development and capital raising
- Expertise in private equity markets, fund structures and co-investments
- Advanced analytical and market research skills
- Advanced technical financial skills including financial modeling
- Demonstrated experience creating marketing, pitch and fundraising materials
