Responsibilities:

• Serve as the chief liaison and product subject matter expert between investors and the investment team for private equity and equity-focused fund products
• Own the product strategy narrative and oversee workflow
• Manage, mentor and train junior business development junior resources
• Lead the design of marketing and fundraising materials, DDQs, RFPs and pitch materials
• Lead private equity product development and product management
• Perform market research, content development and product positioning across equity strategies, continuation vehicles and co-investments
• Serve as the senior product resource for the business development team
• Provide commercial expertise to support business development, fundraising and strategic planning initiatives
• Work closely with finance, operations, legal and compliance teams on new product execution
• Develop market commentary and thought leadership pieces and support external communications and brand building strategies
• Maintain content libraries and consistently improve data management systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• MBA or CFA preferred
• 8+ years of private equity or alternatives product strategy experience
• Control buyout private equity strategy experience required
• Demonstrated experience managing, training and mentoring junior resources
• Demonstrated ability to support investor relations, business development and capital raising
• Expertise in private equity markets, fund structures and co-investments
• Advanced analytical and market research skills
• Advanced technical financial skills including financial modeling
• Demonstrated experience creating marketing, pitch and fundraising materials

Our elite global Alternative Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Associate to support capital formation, business development, fundraising and investor relations objectives with a primary focus on private credit strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Support capital formation, business development, fundraising and investor relations objectives with a primary focus on private credit strategies
• Respond to investor inquires from existing and prospective private institutional investors
• Leverage internal and external resources to manage RFPs, DDQs, NDAs and bespoke investor requests
• Prepare, coordinate and distribute marketing, business development and investor relations materials, communications, presentations, offering memoranda, investor reports, legal documents, fact sheets and case studies
• Create internal and external presentations
• Develop and maintain competitor profiles and the broader alternative industry landscape
• Collaborate across business groups on best practices to ensure consistency and quality of investor relations marketing materials
• Work closely with investment and corporate strategy teams to support platform growth initiatives
• Support ad hoc projects as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-6 years of relevant experience with a minimum 2 years of investor relations, business development or fundraising support experience at an alternative investment fund
• Private credit business development/investor relations experience required
• Standout candidates will have a mix of investment banking transaction execution and alternative investment fund business development/investor relations experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate effectively in a complex, rapidly changing and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Advanced communication, interpersonal, presentation and business writing skills

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a “generalist” on the business development team and lead product management initiatives for across the firm’s direct lending and private credit investment strategies
• Oversee product positioning, conduct market research and create content various private credit strategies and vehicles including CLOs, rated notes, BDCs and SMAs
• Collaborate closely with investment teams to refine and tweak product structures to better align with client requirements
• Remain consistent and aware of the private credit competitive landscape including market conditions and product trends
• Develop and recommend commercial insights to support strategic account planning, business development/sales objectives and fundraising initiatives
