Our elite global Hedge Fund client is seeking to recruit an lateral Vice President to source, evaluate, underwrite and execute a variety of esoteric asset investments with a primary focus on litigation finance, legal, tax and regulatory claims and other special asset opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, underwrite and execute a variety of esoteric asset investments with a primary focus on litigation finance, legal, tax and regulatory claims and other special asset opportunities
  • Analyze legal claims evaluating liability theories and the likelihood of potential awards
  • Structure and negotiate customized term sheets, covenants, warranties, representations, credit agreements, prepaid forward agreements, fee purchase agreements and a variety of other funding agreements
  • Draft investment memoranda and write commentary and portfolio analysis for limited partners and the investment committee
  • Evaluate, monitor, mitigate and report on investment risk
  • Support Portfolio Managers with daily P&L, position reconciliations and booking/executing trades
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational improvements, automation initiatives, best practices and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or JD preferred
  • 5+ years sourcing and analyzing litigation finance, special asset and esoteric asset investment opportunities
  • Buyside investing experience at hedge fund, private credit, special situations, opportunistic credit, esoteric/special assets or litigation financing investment firm required
  • Advanced proficiency with quantitative finance and complex financial modeling
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of corporate finance and business operations
  • Highly motivated team player with demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced transactional environment

Title Investment Fund Data Analyst (PowerBI) – Private Credit

Our elite global Alternative Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit a Fund-Level Data & Reporting Analyst with strong Power BI skills to support the private credit fund performance by analyzing P&L drivers, analyzing complex  data sets, performing fund and portfolio analysis and producing investor and fund reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the private credit fund performance by analyzing P&L drivers, analyzing complex data sets, performing fund and portfolio analysis and producing investor and fund reporting
  • Work with large complex datasets and ensure platform data integrity and accuracy
  • Utilize business intelligence reporting tools to write fund performance and investor reports and manage data (Power BI/Business Objects)
  • Gather requirements from business users for report development, to provide critical analytical recommendations and to identify operational improvements
  • Assist with strategic project and ad hoc technology and system enhancements
  • Collaborate with and support front-office investment professionals, institutional investors and other key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of performance reporting and P&L analysis utilizing business intelligence reporting tools – financial services industry preferred but not required
  • Advanced reporting experience and proficiency with Power BI required
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from business users, generate actionable reports and identify trends required
  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects and other business intelligence data and reporting tools preferred
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, project management and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of the private credit ecosystem, fund structures, waterfall calculations and financial statement analysis is a plus
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to interact effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Exposure to AI and/or interest in working with AI platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
