Our elite global Financial Services client is seeking to recruit a Director Credit Research to manage a team of credit analysts and conduct credit research and credit assessments on high yield companies in the business services and industrials space.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of credit analysts and conduct credit research and credit assessments on high yield companies in the business services and industrials space
  • Analyze complex financial data, financial statements and credit agreements to evaluate and identify financial strengths and weaknesses
  • Formulate credit assessments and present analytical rationale to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate and lead client-facing due diligence meetings
  • Collaborate with team members to write and publish credit research that includes market analysis, corporate credit trends and other related topics that will be consumed by firm clients and other key market stakeholders
  • Mentor junior analysts on credit methodologies and analytical processes and encourage them to share ideas to be incorporated in published credit research
  • Collaborate with peers covering other industry sectors to deliver best-in-class work product that meets client requirements and deadlines
  • Monitor market conditions and variables that can effect corporate credit risk
  • Mentor, coach, train and professionally develop junior analysts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA or CFA preferred
  • 10+ years of corporate credit analysis, credit research or financial analysis experience at a bank, investment manager or financial institution
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and fundamental credit analytical skills
  • Formal credit training
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex financial statements including 10Ks and 10Qs
  • Advanced business writing skills and a keen interest in writing and publishing credit research
  • Ability to conduct and lead client-facing due diligence meetings
  • Advanced knowledge of fixed income, credit and capital markets
  • Prior managerial experience with a focus on mentoring, coaching and professionally developing junior analysts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with AI tools is a plus
