Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to hire a “hands-on” Senior Business Development Manager to lead, drive and tactically execute customized pitch development, content strategy, webinars/blog posts and thought leadership pieces across the firm’s global corporate practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, and manage a team, drive and tactically execute customized pitch development, manage global relationships and own the marketing P&L for the global corporate practice
  • Develop subject matter expertise across the corporate practice (M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Fund Formation, etc.)
  • Work closely with partners, industry leaders and practice leadership to develop and drive business growth plans leading to revenue growth and new business wins
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of business growth plans
  • Develop and execute brand positioning strategy
  • Manage client presentations, seminars, conferences and sponsorship opportunities
  • Develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing clients and prospects
  • Proactively monitor and analyze industry, market and competitor trends to develop actionable recommendations regarding new business opportunities
  • Prepare bespoke pitch materials and RFP responses to maximize new business wins
  • Develop and execute content strategies across the firm’s digital platforms to promote consistent brand messaging objectives
  • Manage the submissions process for industry awards, rankings and directories
  • Supervise, coach and train junior staff

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of legal business development or strategic marketing experience
  • Advanced relationship management skills with the ability to advise and influence key stakeholders
  • Team management experience
  • Demonstrated P&L management experience
  • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to manage competing requirements and meet deadlines
  • Fundamental knowledge of corporate law
  • Experience working on a global collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with MS Office, legal industry databases and information sources
  • Highly motivated and outgoing with a high degree of maturity and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Hybrid schedule with minimum 3-days per week in the office required
