Our global Financial Services client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Director to drive revenue generation and long-term relationship development with middle market financial sponsors and private debt investors.  The incumbent will have demonstrated relationships with key capital markets decision makers at leaading middle market private equity firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development efforts and long-term revenue generation with middle market financial sponsors and private debt investors
  • Work closely with global counterparts and senior management to build and execute a winning marketing strategy and support cross-border opportunities
  • Develop relationships that result in long-term revenue growth with existing clients and prospective customers
  • Promote the firm’s market capabilities and educate clients and prospective clients on the firm’s competitive advantages and value-added positions
  • Develop market intelligence, competitive analysis, and industry analysis
  • Assist with developing marketing materials, client presenations and pitchbooks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years’ private debt investing/origination or middle market financial sponsor coverage experience
  • Well developed relationships with middle market private equity capital markets deal leaders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the private debt and fixed income capital markets industry
  • Business development and client management skills
  • Travel required

  • Promote a cohesive messaging strategy that will help drive revenue and develop recurring business opportunities with existing customers and new prospects
  • Work with global counterparts on cross-border business development opportunities
  • Engage with customers and prospects to discuss industry trends, strategic opportunities across the fixed income and leveraged capital markets industry and to promote the firm’s competitive advantages and value-added propositions

Requirements:

  • Investment grade, high yield and/or leveraged finance deal execution experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
