Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Specialist to work with private equity practice partners, key business stakeholders and business development colleagues to build relationships and grow revenue with clients and prospects in the US and London. **Prior law firm marketing / business development experience mandatory**
Responsibilities:
- Work with private equity practice partners, key business stakeholders and business development colleagues to build relationships and grow revenue with clients and prospects in the US and London
- Support client teams, partners and business development colleagues in the execution of practice growth strategies
- Execute marketing and business development objectives for individual attorneys and partners
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, market developments and competitor activity
- Assist colleagues with league table submissions across the corporate practice – private equity, capital markets, M&A and leveraged finance
- Work closely with competitive intelligence team to gather, analyze and synthesize market research and prospective client data and information
- Proactively respond to RFP requests, develop pitch materials and client presentations
- Work with the event marketing team to develop and execute practice specific events, thought leadership pieces, sponsorship opportunities and speaking engagements
- Assist content marketers in preparing for the awards and directory submission process
- Assist with best practices, process improvements and practice matter website, CRM and database upkeep
- Assist with special projects as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of business development or marketing experience at a peer law firm required
- Fundamental knowledge of the private equity industry, M&A landscape and capital markets
- Advance business writing, industry research and market analysis skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced transaction environment while juggling competing priorities
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
- Proficiency with MS Office and industry standard research platforms
