Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit an Investment Associate to support deal origination, structuring and the identification, evaluation and sourcing of insurance and private asset investments and strategic partnership opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support deal origination, structuring and the identification, evaluation and sourcing of insurance and private asset investments and strategic partnership opportunities
  • Conduct financial due diligence, structuring, accounting, negotiation and related transaction support
  • Perform risk based capital analysis, in-depth financial analysis and build complex financial models to evaluate investment and strategic partnership opportunities
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with portfolio managers to develop and recommend investment ideas
  • Collaborate with external rating agency, legal and public accounting stakeholders during the investment structuring and negotiation process
  • Analyze and monitor performance metrics to track partner relationships and investment performance
  • Stay abreast of relevant US and international regulatory mandates and changes
  • Monitor operational matters, manage contracts and support various ad hoc projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic record
  • 3-5 years of asset-backed structuring, capital markets or risk based lending in the investment banking industry
  • Fundamental knowledge of structured credit products, esoteric assets, private assets and/or insurance-linked assets
  • Advanced financial modeling skills
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate finance and accounting concepts
  • Keen commercial instincts with strong knowledge of capital markets
  • Thoughtful, creative and highly motivated
  • High energy personality, yet cool under pressure with the ability to take on new projects and learn on the fly
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills

Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit an Investment Associate (Generalist) to analyze and research investment opportunities across industry sectors, asset classes and the capital structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and research investment opportunities across industry sectors, asset classes and the capital structure
  • Serve as an investment generalist working across multiple investment strategies
  • Analyze incoming deal flow and create presentation materials highlighting investment research and making actionable investment recommendations
  • Perform deal sourcing, valuation analysis, modeling, structuring and due diligence
  • Build complex financial models and perform capital structure analysis and incorporate analysis into business projections
  • Provide marketing and business development support including developing relevant materials and presentations for current and prospective investors and internal stakeholders
  • Provide support to the corporate strategy team and various investment teams
  • Perform ad hoc duties and special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic achievement
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with a mixture of investment banking and alternative investment research experience preferred
  • Candidates without investment banking experience coming from hybrid capital investing, private equity, special situations, private credit or direct lending will be considered as well
  • Advanced financial modeling, capital structure analysis and financial due diligence skills
  • Ability and willingness to serve as a generalist and work across investment strategies and the entire capital structure
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly motivated, driven and intellectually curious with exceptional work ethic
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently
