Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Global Business Development Analyst to perform industry analysis, compile company research, perform market research, analyze competitors and support global business development strategy for the M&A, Capital Markets and Litigation practice groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform industry analysis, compile company research, perform market research, analyze competitors and support global business development strategy for the M&A, Capital Markets and Litigation practice groups
  • Analyze daily market intelligence to identify potential deals that can be pitched to partners for review
  • Analyze and monitor trends and developments in various industries and geographic regions
  • Benchmark deal activity versus competitors by analyzing legal industry publications. league table rankings and legal media/news sources
  • Compile and analyze industry lists by region to better understand the firm’s coverage and market share
  • Analyze M&A, Capital Markets and Litigation deal activity to support broader business development strategy
  • Perform special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of business development or marketing experience in the legal, professional services or financial services industry
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Fundamental understanding of financial markets
  • Highly motivated and driven with an outgoing personality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Superb communication, interpersonal, presentation and business writing skills
  • Ability to consumer and synthesize complex data and draw actionable conclusions
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet practice and business needs
  • Proficient MS Office skills (strong Excel skills required)

Our global law firm client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to support new business development, client development and strategic marketing objectives for the firm’s Corporate M&A, Capital Markets and Litigation practice groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new business development, client development and strategic marketing objectives for for the firm’s Corporate M&A, Capital Markets and Litigation practice groups
  • Execute strategic plans for individual attorneys, partners, practice groups, client teams
  • Analyze and report on progress of all marketing objectives
  • Provide hands-on marketing and business development support for multiple litigation practice areas
  • Work with colleagues to coordinate and administer events, speaking engagements, sponsorship and thought leadership initiatives
  • Work closely with the Competitive Intelligence Group to obtain and analyze client, prospective client and market research to identify business development opportunities and competitive advantages
  • Prepare marketing collateral, pitch materials and assist the proposal team with RFP preparation
  • Create and distribute of marketing collateral and thought leadership pieces
  • Assist internal communications team with the award submission process
  • Manage department database updates, practice and subject matter descriptions, website, biographies, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of business development or strategic marketing experience
  • Law firm, legal services, professional services or financial services industry experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of M&A, Capital Markets or Litigation preferred
  • Advanced writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to process and summarize complex information
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and achieve measurable results
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work in a high pressure and often stressful corporate environment
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful, motivated and driven attitude with a “can do” attitude
