Title Senior Business Development Coordinator – Elite Law Firm

Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Coordinator to execute business development, client development and strategic marketing initiatives for the firm’s global Corporate Practice (M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Venture Capital, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Execute business development, client development and strategic marketing initiatives for the firm’s global Corporate Practice (M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Venture Capital, etc.)
  • Under guidance of the Senior Manager execute strategic plans for individual attorneys, partners, practice groups, client teams, and industry groups across the US
  • Analyze and report on progress of all marketing objectives
  • Provide hands-on marketing and business development support including the preparation of pitches, proposals, RFPs/RFIs, and marketing collateral
  • Assist with awards, rankings and the directory submission process
  • Work with colleagues to coordinate and administer events, speaking engagements, sponsorship and thought leadership initiatives
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence Group to obtain and analyze client, prospective client and market research to identify business development opportunities and competitive advantages
  • Create and distribute of marketing collateral and thought leadership pieces
  • Assist internal communications team with the award submission process
  • Manage department database updates, practice and subject matter descriptions, website, biographies, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing, communications or business development support experience
  • Highly motivated with a keen interest in developing a long-term career in legal business development and marketing
  • Exposure to M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Venture Capital is a plus
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to process and summarize complex information required
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and achieve measurable results
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work in a high pressure and often stressful corporate environment
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Resourceful, motivated and driven attitude with a “can do” attitude

Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to assist Corporate/M&A partners in identifying new business opportunities and developing and executing strategic business development plans to increase M&A practice revenue globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support practice development by identifying new business opportunities and developing and executing strategic business development plans to increase M&A practice revenue globally
  • Support partners with client prospecting and relationship management targeting investment bankers, investment banking in-house counsel, board of directors and investment banking senior management
  • Manage, coach and mentor a business development analyst and business development coordinator
  • Oversee knowledge management including but not limited to tracking and monitoring client activity and new legal matters in CRM systems and internal databases, overseeing directory and league table submissions and supporting overall knowledge management collection
  • Prepare RFPs, pitch materials and other client presentations
  • Analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape and M&A transactions
  • Work closely with marketing communications colleagues to support public relations and media opportunities for partners
  • Support the communications and digital marketing team with internal/external communications, practice visibility, events and social media strategy and execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JD preferred
  • 5+ years of business development experience at a tier-1 global law firm
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the M&A transaction process and investment banking landscape
  • Knowledge of M&A litigation preferred
  • Demonstrated senior management/partner level relationship management experience
  • Advanced business writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required
  • Hybrid model: 4-days in office, 1-day remote – required
