Our global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to produce specialized, topical and thematic research and analysis of companies, industries, markets and competitors. The analyst will author and communicate insightful and actionable commentary and intelligence reports and provide meaningful recommendations to support business growth, the firm’s competitive position and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Produce specialized, topical and thematic research, analysis and written reports on a wide variety of company, business, industry, markets and/or competitor intelligence to support the firm’s business development and strategic initiatives
- Stay abreast of critical news developments affecting the legal industry, corporate industry sectors and key firm clients
- Provide research support to attorney’s, practice group leaders and client-specific projects
- Provide critical legal research support for firm wide business development and strategic marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with attorney’s and practice group leaders on client-specific business intelligence and research projects
- Advocate the team’s resources and research analysis capabilities among key firm stakeholders
- Maintain and distribute metrics/KPI analysis and reports on a monthly and annual basis
- Assist with marketing, business development and client-specific special projects as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years’ competitive intelligence, market research or industry research experience
- Prior legal, professional services or financial services research and analysis experience
- Demonstrated research and analytical proficiency with a passion for consuming business and financial news
- Motivated, passionate and intellectually curious
- Detail oriented with the ability to consume, synthesize and draw conclusions from complex data and information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Strong team player with superb communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Exposure to legal research and analysis strongly preferred
