Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to assist Corporate/M&A partners in identifying new business opportunities and developing and executing strategic business development plans to increase M&A practice revenue globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support practice development by identifying new business opportunities and developing and executing strategic business development plans to increase M&A practice revenue globally
  • Support partners with client prospecting and relationship management targeting investment bankers, investment banking in-house counsel, board of directors and investment banking senior management
  • Manage, coach and mentor a business development analyst and business development coordinator
  • Oversee knowledge management including but not limited to tracking and monitoring client activity and new legal matters in CRM systems and internal databases, overseeing directory and league table submissions and supporting overall knowledge management collection
  • Prepare RFPs, pitch materials and other client presentations
  • Analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape and M&A transactions
  • Work closely with marketing communications colleagues to support public relations and media opportunities for partners
  • Support the communications and digital marketing team with internal/external communications, practice visibility, events and social media strategy and execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JD preferred
  • 5+ years of business development experience at a tier-1 global law firm
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the M&A transaction process and investment banking landscape
  • Knowledge of M&A litigation preferred
  • Demonstrated senior management/partner level relationship management experience
  • Advanced business writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required
  • Hybrid model: 4-days in office, 1-day remote – required

  • Monitor strategic clients and prospects and identify new opportunities for firm partners

Requirements:

Our elite global Private Equity client is seeking to recruit a highly experienced Attorney to execute transactions, manage complex deal activity and serve as the key legal advisor and strategic business partner to fund  senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute transactions, manage complex deal activity and serve as the key legal advisor and strategic business partner to fund senior leadership
  • Provide hands-on support for a variety of legal matters including, but not limited to, fund formation, portfolio company governance, divestitures, M&A transactions and co-investments
  • Review, draft and negotiate limited partnership agreements, side letters, fund formation documents and other related investor documents
  • Work closely with investment deal teams, operations, compliance, tax, and external counsel to ensure effective and efficient transaction execution
  • Lead and manage PE transactions from investment sourcing through deal closing
  • Provide legal advise on regulatory matters, risk management and investment structures
  • Provide legal advise to portfolio companies including, but not limited to, management incentive plans, corporate governance and transaction exit strategies
  • Assist with legal department best practices, process improvements and process automation projects

Requirements:

  • 8+ years providing legal and strategic business advise on complex private equity transactions
  • Legal expertise with fund formation and M&A transaction execution from a top-tier global law firm or alternative investment platform
  • Significant experience advising private equity sponsors and institutional investors
  • Ability to manage complex transactions in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Expertise with fund formation, portfolio management, transaction exit strategies and the private equity transaction lifecycle
  • Advanced negotiation, document drafting and transaction management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • JD and NY State Bar membership, in good standing
