Our global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Business Development Analyst.  The ideal candidate will be a middle office/trading operations financial services professional eager to pivot to a fast-paced career in professional services business development, strategic marketing, client development and market intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor various information sources, collect and analyze competitive intelligence, analyze market research and perform industry trend analysis to identify new business development opportunities for partners, lawyers and other key internal stakeholders
  • Analyze, synthesize and track data on key client targets and provide recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Analyze public and private data used to identify new business opportunities
  • Assist with deep-dive research projects covering businesses, competitors, industries and market trends
  • Develop new business target and coverage lists and report periodically on targeting opportunities
  • Collaborate effectively with key partners, lawyers, practice leaders and business development, marketing and business intelligence stakeholders
  • Assist with ad hoc and special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ of middle office or trading operations at a global financial institution
  • Keen interest in pivoting to a business development, market research or competitive intelligence career in the professional services/legal industry
  • Outgoing, competitive, progressive and intellectually curious personality
  • Advanced research and analysis skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful transaction oriented environment
  • Confident and highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Creative mindset with the ability to work independently and develop actionable recommendations
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to process and summarize complex information
