Our elite global Law Firm is seeking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Senior Business Development Manager to oversee and lead strategic business development and marketing planning and execution for the global Capital Markets practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the staff in the planning and execution of strategic business development and marketing for the capital markets practice
  • Oversee all business development and marketing objectives for the practice
  • Create and manage the annual practice budget
  • Serve as the thought leader for partners and practice leadership in developing best practices for client development, new business development and brand building
  • Mentor, coach and develop direct reports
  • Work closely with the pitch team to oversee the execution of RFPs and new business proposals
  • Lead strategy development for the annual awards, rankings and directory submission processes
  • Oversee the execution of thought leadership, industry whitepapers, speaking engagements, conferences, webinars and blog posts
  • Work closely with communications team on the development and execution of brand development and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Provide strategic advise to partners, practice leaders and firm leadership
  • Serve as the marketing liaison during lateral partner onboarding and integration within the practice

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior team management experience required
  • 7-10 years of legal marketing and business development experience at a large global law firm
  • Ability and openness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Some travel required
  • Highly motivated, team oriented and personable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of capital markets
