Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit an Associate to directly support the senior origination and investment leadership in identifying, evaluating and sourcing private asset investment opportunities and strategic partnership opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Directly support the senior origination and investment leadership in identifying, evaluating and sourcing private asset investment opportunities and strategic partnership opportunities
- Provide financial due diligence, structuring, accounting, negotiation and related transaction support
- Perform risk based capital analysis, in-depth financial analysis and build complex financial models to evaluate investment and strategic partnership opportunities
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with portfolio managers to develop and recommend investment ideas
- Collaborate with external rating agency, legal and public accounting stakeholders during the investment structuring and negotiation process
- Analyze and monitor performance metrics to track partner relationships and investment performance
- Stay abreast of relevant US and international regulatory mandates and changes
- Monitor operational matters, manage contracts and support various ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic record
- 3-5 years of asset-backed structuring, capital markets or risk based lending in the investment banking industry
- Fundamental knowledge of structured credit products, esoteric assets, private assets and/or insurance-linked assets
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Advanced knowledge of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Keen commercial instincts with strong knowledge of capital markets
- Thoughtful, creative and highly motivated
- High energy personality, yet cool under pressure with the ability to take on new projects and learn on the fly
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills
