Our elite global Investment Management client is seeking to recruit an Investment Analyst to lead credit research coverage and evaluate investment opportunities for a $1B+ Asset-Backed Securities investment portfolio and evaluate new investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes (consumer, student loans, esoteric, timeshares, auto, credit cards, equipment leases, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead credit research coverage and evaluate structured credit (ABS) investment opportunities
  • Monitor existing portfolio positions
  • Analyze performance metrics vs. initial investment performance expectations
  • Work closely with traders and investment research colleagues to develop and implement investment strategies for current and new investment positions
  • Make buy, sell & hold recommendations based on relative value analysis across a variety of structured credit asset classes
  • Participate in daily financial market meetings and discuss market events and trends across structured credit asset classes
  • Perform portfolio cash flow and impairment testing and conduct analysis of identified impairment securities
  • Interact frequently with rating agencies, bankers, asset servicers and other key market participants to analyze asset performance
  • Participate in monthly credit review discussions and revise internal credit ratings are required
  • Assist with credit analysis for new business ventures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study
  • MBA/CFA preferred
  • 10+ years of fixed income/structured credit capital markets experience
  • Broad experience analyzing ABS credit including esoteric ABS products
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Deep knowledge of the fixed income financial markets
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Intex, Bloomberg and Trepp preferred
