Title Business Development Director – Institutional Investors (US Equities)

Our boutique Investment Management client ($10B+ AUM) is seeking to recruit a Business Development Director to advocate partner with institutional investor clients, prospects and consultants and promote the firm’s US equity market philosophy, investment strategy and fund performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the firm’s investment strategies, US equity market philosophy and fund performance with institutional investor clients, investment consultants and prospective investors
  • Analyze, sythesize and report on US equity market developments and internal fund performance
  • Utilize proprietary and external systems to analyze, interpret and report investment performance and performance drivers
  • Create marketing materials, investment commentary and client communication collateral highlighting analysis and investment performance
  • Assist marketing and client service colleagues with RFI and RFP responses and client presentations
  • Perform market trend and competitive intelligence¬†analysis
  • Collaborate with portfolio management and marketing leaders on new business development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree and/or CFA required
  • Buy side client service and business development experience with institutional investors required
  • Advanced writing, analytical and business presentation skills
  • Deep knowledge of US equity markets, equity products and quantitative equity investment strategies
  • Expertise in analyzing equity markets and interpreting investment performance
  • Strong communication, presentation and client-facing marketing ability
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and creative
  • Strong project management and computer skills
  • Ability to travel periodically (post-Covid)
  • The incumbent will be physically based in the Northern NJ office post-Covid

Our global Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Team Leader Business System Analyst to collaborate with front office investment teams and technology teams to identify information and technology that will improve investment data quality, systems, and business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with technology development teams to assist with the design and implementation of new systems capabilities
  • Liaise with business and technology teams to identify and foster opportunities to use information and technology to improve investment data quality, systems and business processes
  • Define and document requirements, project scope, process flows and data mapping and advise stakeholders on means necessary to drive projects to delivery
  • Establish and maintain standards for requirements gathering, documentation, business processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to develop project vision, roadmaps and strategic priorities
  • Perform, managed and track user acceptance and production testing
  • Identify, investigate and solve business process, system and data quality issues
  • Utilize business intelligence knowledge to help implement and improve reporting in the investment data management platform
  • Develop and manage reports and dashboards
  • Gather and document business processes and system requirements
  • Assist with ad hoc and special projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business related field
  • 5+ years’ business analysis, systems analysis or project management experience in the asset management or financial services industry industry
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Business Objects (SAP) and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to write scripts and queries
  • Demonstrated knowledge of QA processes, user acceptance testing and production testing
  • Demonstrated expertise with requirements gathering and documentation and the ability to effectively liaise with project managers and business end-users to understand business needs, develop actionable requirements and deliver complex projects
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, data mapping, and end-to-end system integration across multiple platforms
  • Experience with BlackRock Aladdin, Markit EDM or Incorta is a plus
  • Superb communication, interpersonal and business writing skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cash flow models and analyze the credit quality and credit structure of asset backed securities and ABS transactions
  • Perform credit research, supporting analysis and make credit criteria recommendations to internal credit committees
  • Build cash flow models and develop automation tools to enhace analytical efficiencies
  • Interact with and support relationship management with credit issuers and investors
  • Analyze the credit quality of issued debt and perform default risk analysis
  • Analyze industry trends and author market commentary for external market consumption

Requirements:

  • Bachelor‚Äôs Degree
  • 3+ years’ structured finance or structured credit analysis
  • Cash flow modeling and quantitative financial analysis experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and business writing experience
  • Exposure to structured credit products such as auto loans and leases, aviation loans and leases, equipment leasing and/or student loans required
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Programming experience with VBA, SQL or Python is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly motivated
