Our global Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Senior Private Equity Accountant to mentor a team of private equity accountants and ensure all private equity accounting deliverables are met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily workflow for the private equity accounting team
- Manage day to day team assignments, client service objectives and deliverables
- Coach and mentor junior team members and delegate workflow assignments
- Analyze and ensure quality for all private equity accounting deliverables and fund activities
- Monitor and analyze carried interest calculations, capital calls, distributions, divestments, etc. and ensure they are carried out in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
- Monitor and maintain department risk management and compliance policies
- Interact with senior investment managers and external client stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of private equity fund accounting
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff
- Strong client service experience
- Ability to interact effectively with key stakeholders
