Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to hire a “hands-on” Senior Business Development Manager to lead, drive and execute new business development, client relationship management and brand building strategy for the global energy and natural resources practice (transactional, litigation, financing, construction, project finance, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, drive and execute new business development, client relationship management and brand building strategy for the global energy practice
  • Develop subject matter expertise across the global energy industry
  • Work closely with partners, industry leaders and practice leadership to develop and drive business growth plans leading to revenue growth and new business wins
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of business growth plans
  • Develop and execute brand positioning strategy
  • Manage client presentations, seminars, conferences and sponsorship opportunities
  • Develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing clients and prospects
  • Proactively monitor and analyze industry, market and competitor trends to develop actionable recommendations regarding new business opportunities
  • Prepare bespoke pitch materials and RFP responses to maximize new business wins
  • Develop and execute content strategies across the firm’s digital platforms to promote consistent brand messaging objectives
  • Manage the submissions process for industry awards, rankings and directories
  • Supervise, coach and train junior staff
  • Manage budgets and ROI

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of legal business development or strategic marketing experience
  • Advanced relationship management skills with the ability to advise and influence key stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of the global energy industry
  • Prior team management experience
  • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to manage competing requirements and meet deadlines
  • Experience working on a global collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with MS Office, legal industry databases and information sources
  • Highly motivated and outgoing with a high degree of maturity and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Hybrid schedule with minimum 3-days per week in the office required
