Our elite global Law Firm is seeking to recruit a hands-on Learning and Development Manager to oversee the creation and delivery of attorney learning, development and training programs and to assist in managing day-to-day operations of the training department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and delivery of attorney learning, development and training programs
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the training department
- Identify, qualify and manage external vendor relationships, as well as the negotiation of vendor contracts in coordination with the general counsel’s office
- Actively participate in the delivery of training programs
- Manage onsite and offsite learning events including program logistics and employee supervision
- Lead learning orientations for new associates
- Coordinate with senior management on bar admission compliance and registration and approve attorney bar expenses
- Collaborate with CLE team to align programming credits
- Oversee the workflow of junior team members and assist the senior manager with performance reviews
- Analyze, recommend and implement best practices and process improvements
- Develop long-term strategic plans and set goals for the department
- Mentor, coach and train junior members and resolve any team issues that arise
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of learning and development or attorney training experience at a large global law firm
- 2+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
- Ability to travel as required
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and industry software programs
- Highly motivated and creative problem solving skills
