Our AM Law 30 law firm client is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to serve as a key advisor and assume a business development leadership role for the firm’s global intellectual property practice group.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on business development and strategic marketing guidance and execution to lawyers and partners across the IP practice
- Support all business development and strategic marketing objectives with a focus on strategic planning and execution
- Assist with RFP responses, client presentation development, pitch materials and other relevant marketing collateral development
- Develop original marketing content and maintain practice group literature and standard marketing collateral
- Assist with directory submission initiatives and client events
- Work closely with the firm’s knowledge management, legal research and business intelligence teams to analyze and act on competitor and market research
- Assist with lead generation and drive cross sell opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ Litigation focused business development and strategic marketing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the broad litigation arena with particular understanding of patent and intellectual property litigation
- Sharp, focused, competitive and intellectually curious personality
- Some overtime, limited weekend work hours and occasional domestic travel required
- In-depth analytical, market research and industry trend analysis skills
- Highly motivated and detail oriented with strong time management skills
- MBA or JD a plus
