Our AM Law 30 law firm client is seeking to recruit a Legal Personnel Manager to provide professional staff development, personnel management, staffing utilization and operational support for the global M&A practice.
Responsibilities:
- Support partners, attorneys and M&A practice leaders with professional development, staff unitization and talent management
- Analyze and monitor staff skills and department workloads and make recommendations on staffing and utilization requests
- Solicit and compile staff feedback on personnel, practice administration and professional development needs and identify and report any potential issues or concerns to senior management
- Assist attorneys and support staff with workflow utilization, training requirements and career development efforts
- Plan, coordinate and manage practice events
- Conduct staff exit interviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of professional development, personnel management and/or practice administration experience at a global law firm or professional services organization
- Exceptional project management and time management skills
- Prior M&A practice support experience preferred
- Creative and outgoing with the ability to interact effectively with partners, attorneys and practice leadership
- Critical thinker with the keen ability to solve problems
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
