Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Knowledge & Innovation Director to serve as the strategy leader to the global corporate practice in identifying and executing value-added services to clients, leveraging knowledge resources and adopting innovative and emerging technologies to optimize practice and attorney efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategy leader to the global corporate practice in identifying and executing value-added services to clients, leveraging knowledge resources and adopting innovative and emerging technologies to optimize practice and attorney efficiency
  • Utilize data driven intution and user feedback to continuously enhance knowledge management methodologies, attorney engagement, communication strategy and the support of new processes
  • Drive innovation by leveraging indivdual team member strengths, developing comprehensive training programs and strategic staffing initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior management and practice leaders to develop and execute plans to embrace business challenges and increase attorney productivity
  • Work closely with partners on client strategy and client value initiatives to promote advisory services and innovative tools available for clients
  • Partner with legal operations to brainstorm and workshop knowledge and technology ideas to drive business efficiencies, deliver client value and mitigate enterprise risk
  • Provide firmwide knowledge management support for new client onboarding, client value objectives and the adoption or emerging technologies, including AI applications
  • Advocate for knowledge sharing and the use of emerging technologies to promote innovation and collaboration
  • Work closely with external vendors to identify and adopt emerging technologies and custom-build applications to support specific client and practice needs
  • Continuously eveluate, recommend and adopt vendors and products that will benefit the firm and its clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and JD required
  • Prior experience as a practicing attorney in a corporate law practice required
  • 5+ years of experience working in knowledge management at a law firm or professional services organization
  • Demonstrated ability to solicit feedback, analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations
  • Advanced understanding of knowledge management principles, process improvement methodologies, emerging legal technologies and best practices
  • Advanced leadership and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and build effective relationships with attorneys, vendors and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced project planning and management experience
