Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Applications Specialist to serve as the chief technology liaison and financial systems subject matter experience with the corporate finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief technology liaison and financial systems subject matter experience with the corporate finance team
- Support, administer and enhance the firm’s proprietary and cloud-based financial systems with a specific focus on the Aderant platform
- Provide technical support to financial systems users
- Work closely with external vendors on issue resolution, upgrades, integrations, and technology deployments
- Ensure financial systems are effectively supporting finance operations
- Communicate financial system initiatives and issues clearly, tracking progress, and driving timely resolution/delivery
- Coordinate with finance and technology teams teams to develop a strong understanding of finance business processes, system dependencies, and operational requirements
- Identify system and process improvements through enhancements, automation, workflow optimization, and adoption of best practices
- Stay up to date on platform capabilities, emerging technologies, and technical products within the role’s core areas of responsibility
- Assist in responding to help desk tickets, incidents, service requests, and operational support needs
- Develop and maintain system documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of legal industry financial systems support and administration
- Aderant platform experience required
- Fundamental knowledge of common programming concepts, scripting, reporting tools, and/or Aderant customization tools
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a subject matter expert and liaison to business end-users
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, detailed technical and end-user documentation
- Strong project management experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
