Our AM Law 30 client is seeking to recruit a Billing Systems Specialist with subject matter expertise in legal billing systems to manage data integration projects, data warehouse administration and to serve as the key liaison between business users, finance and IT on all system and application enhancements and new technology implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with legal practice groups and IT colleagues to lead business systems implementations and data integration and data warehousing initiatives
- Identify, analyze and resolve application, data integration and performance issues in a timely manner
- Serve as a point person with technology vendors on system upgrades, software implementations and technical issues
- Report to the Financial Systems Director providing project timeline updates and system/application technical status updates
- Gather business and system requirements and document all data warehousing, data integration and system changes
- Become a subject matter expert on the firm’s in-house and cloud-based systems and applications and identify, analyze and implement new technical products and capabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering preferred
- 10+ years’ data integration and financial systems development and support
- Subject matter expertise with legal time and billing software systems (Elite, Aderant, IntApp, etc.)
- Advanced technical ability with ETL tools, data modeling, SQL and Microsoft operating systems and servers
- .Net and C programming skills is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to gather and document business and systems requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with senior business and technology leadership
