Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit an Associate Director Professional Development to develop and execute interactive workshops and training programs and provide hands-on training and professional development for corporate associates (attorneys) in the US and London.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and and execute interactive workshops and training programs and provide hands-on training and professional development for US and London based corporate attorneys
  • Provide leadership and strategy and work closely with partners and attorneys to develop cutting-edge workshops and training programs
  • Solicit feedback on the effectiveness of training programs and continuously revise and update programs as needed
  • Oversee training program timelines, structures and deadlines
  • Assist with on-boarding new and lateral associates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JD preferred
  • 7+ years of training and talent development at large global law firm or professional services organization
  • Sharp, motivated and polished with the proven ability to interact effectively with attorneys, partners and senior leadership
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and business writing skills

Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Legal Learning & Development Supervisor to develop and oversee Associate Attorney training programs and professional development curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee Associate training programs and professional development curriculum
  • Collaborate with partners and other key stakeholders on training program development and implementation
  • Work closely with the attorney development & training team firmwide and provide relevant mentorship
  • Assist with day-to-day department operations including but not limited to, approving invoices and expenses, overseeing virtual training sessions, mentoring and supervising junior team members and managing orientation for lateral and incoming associates
  • Lead focus groups and compile feedback to facilitate program development
  • Work with the General Counsel’s office to review vendor agreements and provide firmwide ethics training
  • Collaborate with CLE team on program development and database management
  • Oversee program logistics and supervise staff during off-site training retreats
  • Recommend best practices, process improvement and change management initiatives to senior firm management
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of attorney development and training experience at a large global law firm
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and facilitate associate level attorney training programs
  • Fundamental knowledge of legal industry trends, training techniques and best practices
  • Highly proficient MS Office skills
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel as required

Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Professional Development Manager to collaborate with practice and firm leadership in developing, implementing and overseeing professional development, onboarding, Associate attorney engagement, performance management and staffing/utilization objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with practice and firm leadership in developing, implementing and overseeing professional development, onboarding, Associate attorney engagement, performance management and staffing/utilization objectives
  • Develop relationships with individual Associates identify strengths and understand career goals and professional development needs
  • Build relationships with partners and serve as a trusted advisor to meet professional development, staffing and practice morale objectives
  • Identify and recommend resources to meet professional development requirements
  • Work closely with colleagues across various teams to support practice objectives
  • Oversee the performance management evaluation process for Associates including but not limited to, soliciting feedback, conducting face-to-face meetings and preparing written performance reviews
  • Collaborate with partners and practice leadership on staffing and utilization initiatives ensuring Associates are exposed to a variety of matters and partners while meeting client needs
  • Identify, develop and manage various training programs
  • Coordinate staffing and work assignments across multiple practice groups as necessary
  • Oversee and track Associate vacation schedules to ensure proper staffing to meet client needs
  • Compile weekly status reports for practice leaders and partners
  • Evaluate and organize team building activities and practice events
  • Complete special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JD preferred
  • 5+ years of professional development experience with demonstrated staffing and staff utilization experience
  • Prior law firm professional development experience strongly preferred, but will consider candidates with a JD or prior legal practice experience coming from the consulting or education industry
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and managing professional development and training programs
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding fast-paced professional services environment
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Highly motived and outgoing with proven ability to interact with and influence people effectively
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required
  • Some travel required
  • 4 days in office, 1 day remote schedule
