Our elite global Alternative Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate level Compliance officer with demonstrated AML Sanctions and Anti-Corruption compliance expertise to analyze risk and mitigate financial crimes. AML sanctions and anti-corruption experience is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and mitigate financial crime risk for the firm with a primary focus on anti-money laundering (AML) anti-bribery, sanctions and anti-corruption compliance
- Review counterparties and transactions across all business lines for potential AML sanctions
- Perform surveillance of political contributions and proactively escalate flagged findings
- Analyze, surveille and test electronic communications ensuring adherence to compliance policies
- Assist with administration of the Code of Ethics compliance program including the review and approval of gifts and entertainment, external business activities, personal trading and outside investment activities, etc.
- Review, analyze and escalate potential violations to Code of Ethics
- Analyze, edit and distribute compliance materials and training programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of Anti-Money Laundering sanctions and anti-corruption compliance experience is mandatory
- Experience in the private investment, alternative investment or global consulting industry with a focus on the alternative investment industry is required
- Exposure to Code of Ethics compliance programs
- Fundamental knowledge of anti-money laundering compliance software and systems such as LexisNexis Bridger Insight, Dow Jones RiskCenter, etc.
- Knowledge of Code of Ethics systems/software preferred
- Highly motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
