Our boutique Distressed Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit Junior Investment Analyst with 1 year of financial restructuring experience to research, identify and evaluate a variety distressed investment opportunities across the capital structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze a variety of complex distressed investment opportunities across the capital structure (i.e., insolvencies, bankruptcies, liquidations, illiquid securities, partnership divestments, etc.)
  • Perform financial due diligence including capital structure, cash flow, balance sheet, P&L and financial statement analysis
  • Review and analyze legal documentation
  • Work closely with senior firm management to identify and evaluate investment opportunities
  • Build relationships with key industry professionals to gain market knowledge, identify new business opportunities and influence investment decisions
  • Research and analyze market trends, economic and financial market data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
  • 1 year of financial restructuring analysis experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental accounting and financial analysis principles
  • Fundamental financial modeling, DCF modeling, valuation and capital structure analysis skills required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information (financial statements analysis, balance sheet analysis, cash flow analysis, etc.)
  • Critical thinker with the ability synthesize and present analysis
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work autonomously
  • Advance technical ability
  • Superb communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others
