Our client, a leading global Financial Information Services firm, is seeking a Sr. Credit Analyst to analyze a portfolio of new-issue CMBS securities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis process for commercial mortgage-backed securities and develop comprehensive credit opinions on new CMBS transactions
- Proactively communicate credit opinions to the public stakeholders, issuers and investors
- Author and publish reports on transactions and contribute to research and industry analysis
- Assess and identify credit strengths and risks of commercial real estate properties, markets and loans
- Conduct on-site property inspections and attend borrower meetings and conduct market, underwriting and valuation analysis
- Analyze loan levels, bond structures and industry trends
- Present analysis to internal credit committees
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years commercial real estate underwriting, valuation loan workout experience
- Familiarity with all major commercial property types
- Strong knowledge of secruitization and capital markets
- Expertise with Excel and Word
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
- Ability to travel 35% of the time
