Our global Mortgage Finance client is seeking to recruit an Investor Relations Director to provide strategic financial and investor communications advice to senior leadership, manage the quarterly earnings release process and be the chief liaison between investors, shareholders, analysts and rating agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and oversee a robust investor relations strategy to promote the firm’s operational and financial capabilities and to foster strong relationships with institutional investors, customers, shareholders, employees and buy side, sell side and rating agency analysts
- Develop and oversee the firm’s rating agency relationships and framework to promote business transparency
- Coordinate messaging and develop marketing collateral for investor presentations, analyst calls, shareholder meetings and rating agency presentations
- Oversee the quarterly earnings release process including the preparation of comprehensive financial and operational analysis to support earnings data
- Assist with the development of quarterly statements, annual reports and other investor reporting requirements
- Advise and coach the CFO and Executive Management on the communication of financial information and related disclosures and how it can impact shareholders, credit ratings and the overall market
- Analyze market intelligence and solicit market feedback to understand short and long-term market conditions
- Utilize market feedback and KPIs to identify and target new investors
- Create and manage the department budget
- Interact frequently with industry analysts, ratings analysts and investors and respond promptly with requests for information
- Monitor stock price and financial valuation changes and explain variances
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ investor relations leadership experience at a publicly traded company
- Experience in the mortgage finance industry required
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining strong relationships across the institutional investor community and with buy side, sell side and ratings analysts
- Fundamental knowledge of equity capital markets and the public company valuation process
- Broad knowledge of SEC regulations, disclosure and filing requirements
- Creative personality with demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Fundamental understanding of financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Experience developing and analyzing performance metrics
- Ability to advise senior management on business development and communications strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Travel required
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
