Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client ($30B AUM) is seeking to recruit an Associate, reporting to firm founder’s Chief of Staff, to serve in a hybrid role analyzing new cross-strategy investment opportunities and supporting high-impact strategic initiatives and firmwide business operations (Deputy Chief of Staff).

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to firm founder’s Chief of Staff, to serve in a hybrid role analyzing new cross-strategy investment opportunities and supporting high-impact strategic initiatives and firmwide business operations (Deputy Chief of Staff)
  • Assist the Chief of Staff in driving workflow across key firm initiatives and communications
  • Track and implement accountability across stakeholders ensuring strategic initiatives result in concise actions and measurable results
  • Prepare briefing materials, coordinate cross-functional initiatives and represent the team with internal teams, external stakeholders and portfolio companies ensuring they align with the founder’s strategic vision
  • Assist in organizing firm communications, offsite meetings and leadership meetings
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects associated with investor relations, fundraising, business operations and long-term platform growth
  • Research and analyze potential cross-strategy investments opportunities
  • Analyze incoming deal flow
  • Assist with deal sourcing, deal structuring, valuation analysis and financial due diligence
  • Create presentation materials, including investment research and investment recommendations, for investors and internal stakeholders
  • Build investment decks and perform financial modeling and analysis
  • Develop business projections and perform capital structure analysis
  • Manage external stakeholders, vendors and due diligence advisors throughout the transaction process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with high level academic achievement
  • 2-4 years of investment banking transaction execution experience from a top-tier firm
  • Demonstrated technical financial analytical skills including advanced financial modeling and capital structure analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to create investor-facing materials and investment decks
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and at times, unstructured environment and manage complex initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and provide real-time responsiveness as needed
  • Highly motivated and driven with a “no task is too small” attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High degree of personal integrity and demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with professional discretion
  • Creative problem solver with exceptional analytical skills
