Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit an experienced Associate Director Media Relations with in-house corporate, legal, financial services or professional services media relations/public relations experience to oversee media relations strategy and lead a team tasked with building brand visibility and expanding brand awareness across practice and industry groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee media relations strategy and lead a team tasked with building brand visibility and expanding brand awareness across practice and industry groups
  • Collaborate with partners, attorneys and marketing business development teams on developing and executing media relations strategies to meet brand visibility goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with influential legal, financial and business media professionals
  • Oversee all practice related media relations and including the review of media pitches, byline story ideas, content, etc.
  • Assist marketing and content teams with brand and executive visibility campaigns as needed
  • Collaborate across the marketing and business development team to ensure consistent messaging strategies
  • Develop and pitch new media ideas to partners and practice leaders
  • Lead, coach and mentor junior media and public relations team members
  • Work closely with senior marketing colleagues and the CMO on special projects, firmwide announcements and crisis communications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism preferred
  • 10+ years of in-house media relations or public relations leadership experience in the corporate, legal, business consulting or financial services industry
  • Well developed relationships with influential legal, business and/or financial industry journalists or media industry professionals
  • Demonstrated media relations and public relations expertise
  • Prior experience leading or managing junior team members
  • Experience managing relationships with senior management, practice leaders and/or attorneys
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail

Our elite global Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Brand Content Manager to primarily support the firm’s legal recruiting teams with creating branding content and drafting and editing content for the firm’s awards and rankings process.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily support the firm’s legal recruiting teams with creating branding content and drafting and editing content for the firm’s awards and rankings process
  • Work closely with the legal recruiting team to develop and execute recruitment focused content marketing strategies and brand building projects
  • Draft, edit and revise recruitment related content ensuring proper alignment with the firm’s strategic messaging and brand visibility goals
  • Oversee and manage the content process from creating to publication
  • Create and edit award and ranking related content for the submission process
  • Assist with high-priority website content creation
  • Assist in creating speeches, talking points and other related content for internal communications initiatives
  • Brainstorm and identify new content ideas to drive brand awareness with target audiences
  • Supervise, mentor and coach junior content marketing staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of content marketing, drafting and editing experience
  • Prior legal industry marketing, communications and content creation experience strongly preferred
  • Advance writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and synthesize complex legal content into easy to digest and compelling narratives
  • Strong project management experience and the ability to pivot between competing priorities
  • Creative mindset with strong problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Outgoing and motivated with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships
