Our international Charitable Foundation client is seeking to recruit a Major Gifts Officer to drive and execute long-term fundraising strategies with current and prospective donors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with current and prospective donors and source contributions with the goal of cultivating repeat donor relationships
- Create and implement a robust, long-term major donor campaign to support critical research and foundation programs
- Collaborate with research staff to identify potential donors for solicitation
- Collaborate with marketing to develop solicitation collateral
- Work closely with special program development staff to understand fundraising goals based on estimated funding requirements
- Work with foundation senior management to coordinate fundraising solicitation efforts with VIP donors
- Develop and execute fundraising initiatives and events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ fundraising experience at an international charitable foundation, endowment or non-profit organization
- Experience developing and implementing comprehensive major donor programs
- Superb relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Passionate about advancing global charitable causes that benefit the common good
- Ability to travel periodically
