Our global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Senior Valuation Associate to perform business and intangible asset valuation analyses across the firm’s investment platforms with a particular focus on private equity and debt investment portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Perform business and intangible asset valuation analyses across the firm’s investment platforms with a particular focus on private equity and debt investment portfolios, as well as non-performing loan and real estate assets
- Utilize comparable company, comparable transaction and discounted cash flow valuation methods
- Collaborate with C-level executives and investment teams at portfolio companies to monitor and maintain asset portfolios and analyze macroeconomic trends that may affect asset values
- Work closely with external auditors, valuation consultants and investors to explain asset valuation methodologies
- Present and explain asset valuation analysis to the firm’s valuation committee and CFO on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Analyze and monitor asset P&L and fund valuation changes on a monthly basis
- Perform special project as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years investment valuation experience
- Prior experience valuing private equity and debt investments required
- CFA designation preferred
- Prior Big 4 valuation consulting experience is a plus
- Demonstrated financial modeling, balance sheet analysis, cash flow analysis and financial statement analysis experience
- Technically proficient – Excel, Bloomberg, etc.
- Outstanding presentation, communication and analytical skills
