Our international Law Firm client is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic planning and execution initiatives and serve as the key business development liaison with partners, attorneys and senior leadership in firm’s Private Equity and M&A practice group.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on business development and strategic marketing leadership and execution for the firm’s M&A / Private Equity practice
- Advise the managing partner and senior partners on strategic business development opportunities
- Support all M&A and private equity business development and strategic marketing initiatives with a focus on strategic planning and execution
- Assist with RFP responses, client presentation development, pitch materials and other relevant marketing collateral development
- Develop original marketing content and maintain practice group literature and standard marketing collateral
- Assist with directory submission initiatives and client events
- Work closely with the firm’s knowledge management, legal research and business intelligence teams to analyze and act on competitor and market research
- Assist with lead generation and drive cross sell opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA or JD preferred
- 8+ years’ Corporate Finance (M&A / Private Equity) legal marketing and business development planning and execution experience
- Prior legal marketing and business development experience at a leading international law firm mandatory
- Sharp, focused, competitive and intellectually curious personality
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends as required
- Deep knowledge of the M&A and private equity markets (i.e., transaction process, key market stakeholders, legal competitors, etc.)
- In-depth financial analytical, market research and industry trend analysis ability
- Advanced technical apptitude
- Thick skinned with the ability and desire to thrive in an intense, demanding and deadline driven environment
