Our global Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a bright, motivated and passionate junior level Paralegal who is eager to learn and build a career in the investment management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist corporate attorneys and senior management with various legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to the firm’s mutual fund business
- Assist with preparation of SEC filings and other reporting required under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933 / 1934
- Assist with drafting and preparing corporate entity formation and fund maintenance documents
- Assist with preparation, review and amending various documents: shareholder proxy statements, N-SARs, registration statements, statutory and summary prospectuses, SAI supplements, XBRL filings, etc.
- Assist other internal departments and outside auditors on registration statements
- Assist attorneys and legal staff matters pertaining to insurance, licensing, compliance, etc.
- Assist with mutual fund, corporate and securities related research
- Assist with special projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Accredited Paralegal Certification
- 1 year Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience preferred
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Strong team player with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
