Our global Real Estate Development client is seeking recruit an Investment Associate to underwrite new hotel development and luxury hospitality projects throughout the US. Ground-up hotel development underwriting and financing experience mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Model, analyze and underwrite ground-up luxury hospitality and hotel development and acquisition opportunities in the US
- Perform financial due diligence, structuring and project feasibility analysis
- Analyze legal documents, zoning regulations, entitlements and site acquisition analysis
- Perform budgeting and forecasting analysis
- Report variance vs. actual results to senior management
- Oversee the financial modeling and underwriting process
- Analyze market conditions and update senior management on active deal pipelines
- Manage municipal filings for multiple development projects in multiple cities
- Keep updated on zoning regulations, real estate tax abatements and municipal filing guidelines in major US markets
- Respond to RFPs as required
- Develop annual strategic, financial and operating plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA preferred
- 3 years ground-up hotel / luxury property development underwriting experience
- Advanced financial modeling and quantitative analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Highly motivated and detail oriented with a passion for the real estate industry
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic transaction oriented environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
