Our global Fintech client is seeking to recruit a mid-level Data Sales Rep with demonstrated experience selling market data / research to users in the fixed income trading / capital markets industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with existing client base to sell the firm’s full product suite to prospective users
  • Perform external prospecting to develop new customer prospects and increase business development wins
  • Develop and maintain a strong and consistent sales pipeline
  • Build relationships with key buy side and sell side front office sales executives, traders,  portfolio managers, analysts and back office operations stakeholders and educated them on platform value, competitive advantages and key product features
  • Conduct large-group demos, drive product/platform adoption and close new business opportunities
  • Drive new business revenue growth while maximizing existing revenue retention
  • Negotiate and close complex sales
  • Work closely with Sales Management, Marketing and Product to develop a unified market penetration strategy
  • Collaborate with Product Development to enhance product features based on user feedback and competitive intelligence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ financial markets business development experience with a focus on electronic trading platform sales, market data sales or fixed income data/analytics sales
  • Demonstrated sales hunter / new business development experience selling data and  analytics products to key buy side and sell side front office and back office stakeholders
  • Proven ability to generate new revenue streams and up-sell to existing clients/users
  • Ability to develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and build long term relationships
  • Ability to promote key platform/product features, conduct demos to large audiences and influence key decision makers
  • Well developed presentation, relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Self motivated and outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the capital markets industry and key front office and back office decision makers
  • Approximately 25% travel required
