Job Information

Our Family Office client is seeking to recruit a experienced Senior Accountant to directly support the organization’s CFO in overseeing daily accounting, financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization’s CFO in overseeing daily accounting, financial operations and reporting
  • Perform day-to-day accounting and financial statement preparation for several entities including private equity and debt investments
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and manage capital calls, distributions, K-1 preparation and intercompany accounting initiatives
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations for several entities
  • Review and approve financials several smaller entities ensuring GAAP and tax compliance
  • Prepare reports and analysis for management requests, tax filings and audits
  • Address and resolve state and local tax notifications as needed including communicating with tax authorities and external tax advisors
  • Maintain a file of state and local tax payments for each entity
  • Monitor cash balances and oversee wires and other payments
  • Prepare budgets for several entities
  • Oversee various tax and 1099 filings
  • Mentor, train and supervise members of the support staff
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from the CFO and other senior executives, including personal financial requests from the CEO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems requires; experience with MS Dynamics strongly preferred
  • Strong accounts receivable, accounting payable and bank reconciliation experience
  • Familiarity with tax accounting including K-1s and 1099s
  • Fundamental knowledge of financial statement preparation and GAAP accounting principles
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong project management and process ownership skills with the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • High level of accountability, confidentiality and trustworthiness
