Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Platform Solutions Engineer with advanced and “hands-on” technical skills across SQL, data warehousing, Python based development/automation, API integrations and BI/dashboard development. Broad knowledge of alternative fixed income and credit products and experience customizing and implementing the BlackRock Aladdin platform is required.
Responsibilities:
- Utilized advanced and “hands-on” technical skills across SQL, data warehousing, Python based development/automation, API integrations and BI/dashboard development to customize and implement the BlackRock Aladdin platform.
- Work closely with business users to gather and understand technical business requirements
- Design and execute technical requirements using SQL, Python and business intelligence tools
- Serve as a key member of the technology team in customizing and implementing the BlackRock Aladdin platform
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, investors and external vendors
- Design capabilities for the firm’s data warehouses including machine learning automation, large language models and unstructured data integration
- Implement and integrate enterprise technology solutions across risk, accounting, investment and other functional business areas
- Perform data analysis and ad-hoc reporting for business users
- Leverage web services calls and APIs to load and extract data from third-party systems
- Provide Level 2 operational application support
- Develop automation for routine tasks using Power BI and other business intelligence tools
- Maintain detailed systems documentation and ensure operational stability of data pipelines and reporting
- Develop technology best practices and assist with technical incidents and crisis management processes
- Assist with core technology projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated experience customizing and implementing BlackRock Aladdin
- 10+ years of enterprise fintech development, data warehousing, data integration, customized reporting and workflow development and technical requirements gathering in the alternative investing industry
- Advanced ability to translate business requirements into technical design and execute on development
- Advanced SQL technical skills – writing and debugging functions, stored procedures, performance optimization / query tuning, etc.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and configuring Portfolio Management, Order Management, Investment Book of Record Accounting systems and integrating complex applications via RESTful APIs
- Demonstrated experience developing business-facing dashboards and customized reports with Power BI, Tableau or related business intelligence tools
- Advanced knowledge of alternative investment industry trading and portfolio management technologies and products
- Strong knowledge of credit and fixed income asset classes and market data platforms
- Act as the owner of projects from user testing through adoption
- Ability to manage multiple competing project and tasks
- Strong internal and external stakeholder relationship management skills
- Occasional travel require
- Ability to be on-call outside or normal work hours for technology incidents, crisis management and VIP requests required
