Our global Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Credit Research Analyst to evaluate fixed income private placement investment opportunities, conduct credit research and recommend investment grade and high yield corporate bond investments with a particular focus on the REITs, real estate investment funds and commercial real estate investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate fixed income private placement investment opportunities, conduct credit research and recommend investment grade and high yield corporate bond investments with a particular focus on the REITs, real estate investment funds and commercial real estate investments
  • Perform fundamental credit research and make actionable investment recommendations to traders and portfolio managers
  • Author credit research reports highlighting investment analysis and investment risk potential
  • Analyze and monitor existing portfolio investments and make updated recommendations based on market conditions, financial news, geopolitical activities, rating agency analysis and other market and industry  factors
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers and senior management to exchange ideas and industry sector developments
  • Interact frequently with key market participants including company executives, sell side analysts, rating agency analysts and other credit market stakeholders
  • Assist with internal process improvements and best practices
  • Perform ad hoc projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of public or private credit research or investment analysis experience
  • Private placement investing and REIT sector coverage experience strongly preferred
  • Prior REIT credit analysis experience at a rating agency is a plus
  • Advance knowledge of fixed income markets and investment grade and high yield corporate bonds
  • Broad knowledge of private placement investing
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex financial data and draw cogent investment recommendations
  • Strong financial analysis skills with demonstrated ability to analyze corporate financial statements
  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders and influence decision making
